Responsibility
We acknowledge that waste is an inevitable part of production. Some panels are defective and cannot be assembled into finished pieces. In some cases, yarn cannot be unraveled and reworked, or is too limited to be used on its own or combined with other yarns.
We don’t ignore this. We work with it.
Working with What Remains
Repair by hand
When panels are defective, our artisans repair or reknit them by hand, extending their life and reducing unnecessary loss.
Reworking into new forms
Defective or unusable panels are transformed into smaller items such as bags and accessories.
Crochet with local communities
Small quantities of leftover yarn are used in handmade crochet pieces, created in collaboration with women in rural areas. This allows them to generate income while working within their own communities.

Thousand Rows
Through Thousand Rows, our hand-frame knitting approach allows us to reduce waste significantly. This method offers flexibility in production and enables yarn to be reworked more efficiently, with a high percentage of material retained and reused.

An Ongoing Process
We do not see responsibility as a fixed solution, but as an evolving process—one that grows alongside our work, our collaborators, and the materials we use.
We continue to question, adapt, and explore new possibilities.
